Antes de ayer no echaron el partidazo de la Copa del Rey, Barça-Real 2:2, en ningún canal aquí en la tele. De todas formas, lo pudimos ver a través de Internet. Aunque con muy mala calidad, pero con el comentario original de Canal+. Que, por cierto, me recordaba a los viejos tiempos cuando mi padre escuchaba los partidos en Radio Nacional.

Pués esta vez lo pillé en uno de los portales que te propone www.rojadirecta.me. La dirección que me dio uno de mis alumnos, www.laola1.tv, no funcionaba.

Das war ein Ding! Ich musste den Drucker praktisch ganz auseinandernehmen, um einen Filz zu ersetzen. Aber nun tut der Drucker wieder. Ich kämpfte mich schön durch das Service Manual und entfernte die unten abgebildete Einheit, um darin an den abgenutzten Filz heranzukommen.

Hey everybody,

for carousel problem, or toner misaligned be careful to the solenoid on the top of the printer which it used to stop the carousel on the right position.
The solenoid have a "foam" glued on it and with time this foam disappear. so it stay just the glue.
when the solenoid is in action, the solenoid lever glued during very less time on it and make a bad stop of the carousel.

Yes, many HP magnetic clutches are now sticking in the open position too long because the feldt pad for quieting the clutches clicking noise, disintegrates leaving only the glue causing the metal arm to stick to the glue. since these old printers keep going, it is a good idea to either put celophane tape over where the "quieting pad" used to be or remove the clutch arm & scrape off the sticky glue. Now the clutch arm will click when opening but won't stick open. If taping over the sticky spot, use a 1.5 inch or so strip long enough to go over the brass looking circle that applies the magnitism & also over the back side of the "L" shaped metal. I haven't had tape fall off in over 5 years. A trick is to tape down a small bit of que-tip cotton where the pad used to be; I have sheets of replacement sticky back feldt I use on all these clutches; I just cut off a small strip for each one. I've seen it on the LaserJet 2500, 2550, 2840, 4000, 4050, 4100, 4200, 4, 4+, 5, 5si, 8000, 4500, 4550, etc. If you'r getting the 41.1 error on the 4000 or 4100 then it is probably sticky paper feed clutch arms.

You need to place something like a felt pad or electrical tape over the area you removed the glue. If you do not then the solenoid L arm will become magnetized causing worse issues. Only seems to be an issue with the 2500 series.

Es ging zwar heute ein halber Tag futsch, geschweige der Aufwand für die Internet-Recherche noch vor Weihnachten, aber die Herausforderung ist gemeistert. Und es hat Spass gemacht.

Now we need to register the Visual WebGui extensions under the default site in the IIS. Right click on the web site (in this example the “Default Web Site”) and click on properties. Go to the “Home Directory” tab and click on Configuration.

In the application configuration click edit on the .aspx extension and copy the path from the executable textbox. Click the cancel button to close the edit window..

Now click on the Add button to add a new extension. In the executable textbox paste the path that we just copied from the aspx extension and in the Extension text box enter .wgx (don't miss the dot before WGX it’s there for a reason). Last uncheck the Verify that file exists check box. And do the same with the Visual WebGui Silverlight extension .swgx (same here the dot is needed).

If you are asked to apply the extensions on other virtual directories select all and click OK.

Beim Synchronisieren meines Windows 7 Rechners mit dem Domain Controller (Windows Server 2003) kam immer wieder die folgende Fehlermeldung (Ereignisanzeige auf dem Client, System-Protokoll):

Vom "NtpClient" konnte kein Domänenpeer als Zeitquelle festgelegt werden, da keine Vertrauensstellung zwischen diesem Computer und der ""-Domäne zur sicheren Zeitsynchronisierung eingerichtet werden konnte. In 3473457 Minuten wird ein weiterer Versuch ausgeführt und das Intervall für weitere Versuche anschließend verdoppelt. Fehler: Die Vertrauensstellung zwischen dieser Arbeitsstation und der primären Domäne konnte nicht hergestellt werden. (0x800706FD)

Auf TechNet wird der Hinweis gemacht, man solle nach Fehlern in der Domänen-Kontroller-Konfiguration achten, ich fand aber keine.

Das Problem konnte ich nun folgendermassen lösen:

1.       Open a command prompt as an administrator. To open a command prompt as an administrator, click Start. In Start Search, type Command Prompt. At the top of the Start menu, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If the User Account Control dialog box appears, confirm that the action it displays is what you want, and then click Continue.

2.       At the command prompt, type
w32tm /config /syncfromflags:manual /manualpeerlist:<name of the DC>

3.       At the command prompt, type
w32tm /config /update

Jetzt habe ich im Event-Log des Clients den folgenden Eintrag:
Ereignis-ID: 35
Quelle: Time-Service
Der Zeitdienst synchronisiert die Systemzeit mit folgender Zeitquelle: <name of the DC> (ntp.m|0x0|0.0.0.0:123-><IP of the DC>:123).

Ich werde es weiter verfolgen. Im Moment weicht die Zeit des Clients noch ca. 9 Sekunden von der des Servers ab. Aber der Befehl „w32tm /query /status“ bestätigt, dass die Zeit erfolgreich synchronisiert wird. (Für die Command-Line-Options von w32tm siehe diesen TechNet-Artikel.)

Mit anderen Worten: die algebraischen Berechnungen in der komplexen Ebene sind einfacher zu handhaben als das Lösen von Differentialgleichungen im Zeitbereich.

Spannungen und Ströme in der komplexen Ebene können als Zeiger dargestellt werden. Ich suchte nun eine einfache Möglichkeit, Zeigerdiagramme zu zeichnen. Matlab wird eh in der Elektrotechnik als wichtiges Berechnungswerkzeug eingesetzt. Nun habe ich die Matlab-Funktion „quiver()“ fürs einfache Erstellen von Zeigerdiagrammen entdeckt.

Mit dem folgenden m-File werden die 3 um -120° verschobenen Strangspannungen des Drehstroms auf der komplexen Ebene gezeichnet.

Defaultmässig werden die Pfeile, welche mit der Funktion quiver() gezeichnet werden, von Matlab mit dem Faktor 0.9 skaliert. Der letzte Abschnitt dient dazu, die Property „AutoScale“ des Quivergroup-Plot-Objekts auszuschalten.

Das Prinzip des Zeichnens von Zeigerdiagrammen mit der Matlab-Funktion quiver() ist mit dem obigen, einfachen Beispiel erklärt. Es lassen sich nach diesem Prinzip leicht komplexere Zeigerdiagramme darstellen.

Also in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
Edit ActiveWndTrkTimeout, change 'Base' to Decimal and put in 150 as the 'Value Data'

[this value is time in milliseconds that it takes for the focus to change.
to avoid some issues with the taskbar I recommended using a value like 150 or so, but if you'd like to have a different delay before the window loses focus, set it to whatever you like.]

Step #3:
Log off and log back in 

Apparently, you can still use Microsoft’s Tweak UI PowerToy in Windows XP SP2 compatibility mode to set the X-Mouse settings in Windows 7.

It’s remarkable! My Seiko Spring Drive Moon Phase (1st generation, limited edition, 089/200) deviates around 1 second per month. I. e., in the last half year between the change to winter time at the end of September 2009 and the change to summer time last Sunday, the watch run only 8 seconds too fast.

Wer das Trackpad des MacBook Pro so eingestellt hat, dass der Klick durch blosses Tippen erfolgt, wird das auf der Magic Mouse von Apple missen. Dem kann allerdings mit der Gratis-App BetterTouchTool abgeholfen werden. Nicht nur, dass man so einer vorzeitigen Sehnenscheidenentzündung vorbeugt, sondern es lässt sich sogar nebenbei mit dem BetterTouchTool über die Einstellung „General-->Predefined Actions-->Window under cursor“ das Scrollen im Fenster unter der Maus aktivieren, ohne das Fenster vorher anklicken (fokussieren) zu müssen.

In 1995, I finished my PhD thesis at ETH Zurich. It was published within the Series in Microelectronics, Volume 49, Hartung-Gorre.

Now, after 15 years, I have been able to compile the LaTeX sources using the MacTeX-2009 distribution. I had to make some minor changes (e. g., the conversion of all PostScript images to PNG with the ImageMagick package), but all-in-all I have to say that it was worth the time I invested now. The result is a tiny 5 MByte PDF, and the great fun I’ve had diving back into the world of typesetting with LaTeX.

Coming back to my Unix roots (see also my previous article in German), I looked a few weeks ago for a solution for the so-called autofocus feature on my MacBook Pro. The point is that once upon a time, it was more than normal that the window on which the mouse was pointing to was the active window independently whether it had been first selected or on top of other windows.

A further flavour is mentioned in this respect as well: the autoraise feature. Here, the window where the mouse points to is not only activated, but also brought to the front. Possibly, this behaviour is not always desired (see Stevey’s Blog Rants for his “Settling the OS X focus-follows-mouse debate”).

I couldn’t find any free programs which provide the autofocus feature for the Mac. This is especially disappointing since OS X is in principle a Unix derivate. This Link provides a summary of commercial tools which, among other, provide the autofocus or autoraise feature.

The good news is that on Windows systems, the autofocus feature can be activated via the free Tweak UI PowerToy from Microsoft.
